R2 PRT: Immunizations given by students - Wording/action:
(27) APhA-ASP encourages all states to legally allow student pharmacists, with the proper training and supervision, to administer vaccinations.

Reasons for the Action(s) / Pros and Cons:

In some states, students are allowed to immunize while they are in school. This is not a universal policy. Allowing students to immunize would provide a valuable asset to the school and offer experience to the student before he or she enters the work force.
